Never ascribe to malice anything that can be ascribed to incompetence-- just kidding. People can be incompetent AND malicious at the same time!

Bocchama is coming back to himself. Even though he's still weak and slow, he insisted on going for a walk this morning, and he's been willing to eat some food. He gave me a bunch of kisses and cuddles which was a relief since it shows he wants to be social.

He reads as tired but recovering.

MXTX's new Scum Villain extras are so good. I like all her series (as you might guess). And MDZS was the one that brought me IN, but Scum Villain Self-Saving System definitely has a special place in my heart. The extras were a great way to pay tribute to it, and a loving poke at the fans.

While I get why people are a little disappointed GDT did a "in the spirit of" adaptation of Frankenstein vs. an entirely book faithful one, the monster being centered as the tortured protagonist of a post partum nightmare makes it more faithful than 90% of all previous screen adaptations.

So yesterday they had a Newfoundland demonstration at Mystic Seaport. They brought in a bunch of Newfoundlands to pull sleds and bring in boats from the water like they used to do in ports all across the Northeast coastline.

Nunsense continues. This one actually has two pages, but the joke gets across with one. One of my biggest pet peeves in these sort of movies has been the upside down cross: The symbol of humility. Yes. Super scary.

You know, once upon a time I was (understandably) told Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was too old a comp when used for pitching my upcoming novel but...look what's in the cultural zeitgeist again.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Still reading Tamsin and ugh every time I think the main characters mother is showing any kind of positive character growth towards not being completely insensitive to her daughters emotional needs she goes and says some of the most selfish crap! Its realistic but damn i hope the ghost eats her.

Thank you everyone whose ever said a nice thing about my paintings. I'm a writer, not an artist, so I'm still very sheepish about sharing them but feel like I've managed some progress over the years and the support is very kind.

I'd write some of the least marketable books in existance but by god there'd be a lot of them.
What's a risk you'd be more comfortable taking if Universal Basic Income (UBI) provided a floor of income you could never fall below?
