It just cracks me up every single time when they're like "BUT HOW COULD ANYONE DO THIS???" Dude. My dude. I see you've never been part of the PTA when they realize they need $3000 for the senior field trip. And you've certainly never met Romancelandia.

5. This book is well-written, comprehensive, funny, encouraging… it’s still a lot to take in and I may need to get hold of a paper copy for reference. Fascinating subject apart from anything else - I was curious and interested all the way through. Not just for “women of a certain age” 🤮 #booksky ALT

The more I hear the rhetoric about why we should roll over and let ICE just "do it", the more all the date rape and protect yourself warnings I was taught as a teenager run through my head.

As I hear more murmurings of a general strike, I am trying to get comfortable with the idea and hope I have the courage to join.

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

🧵Any Member of Congress can introduce the case that Donald Trump is levying war on the US in violation of the Treason Clause, and that treason is self-impeaching conduct. Every member should. The critical audience for this argument, now, is not their GOP colleagues but the public and the military 1/

I wish I could remember better what the constitutional law professor was saying about how there needs to be a trigger event by protestors to have legal grounds to invoke the Insurrection Act. I think he was saying that once that is invoke, it breaks wide open LOTS of unilateral presidential powers.

It looks like ICE shoved a woman which is what started things. The guy who was killed appears to try to stop ICE from pepper spraying her, they both got sprayed, and then shortly afterward they executed the guy.
NEW VIDEO: this appears to be the footage from the woman in the pink coat.

In perimenopause, your temperature instability may not be as dramatic as the hot flash videos you see on socials.

It might just feel like being more sensitive to heat and cold in general.

Rom com is code now for the most grief-ridden, cancer-containing storylines imaginable.
I’ve begun to actively avoid books labeled rom-com after being misled for the last few years. None of them are remotely funny, some aren’t even that romantic.

IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY DEVASTATED FUTURE, a controversial new technology offers an odd sort of hope to a woman with Alzheimer’s and her daughter: merge mother’s and daughter’s consciousnesses in one body. Fascinating thriller with lots of depth. B PLUS

Happy RCV Day (1/23)!

Ranked choice voting is a simple upgrade to the way we vote that gives voters more choices and more power. By allowing voters to rank candidates in order of preference, RCV mitigates the "spoiler effect," allowing voters to vote for their true preferences.
