Uh. I woke up to about 200 more followers than I had when I went to bed. So. Hello.

I should add, I talk a lot about romance novels. And my favorite movies are The Sound of Music and While You Were Sleeping.

I might talk a lot about capybaras, specifically the one who was in Top Gun Maverick.

I made this finally! It’s not the most appetizing looking thing but my child loved it and already asked if I’d be willing to make it again. Thanks to everyone who gave me hints and tips, especially @annaguirre.bsky.social - I basically used your method.
My daughter apparently ate biscuits and gravy for the first time and loved it and now wants me to make it at home and when I tell you that not only have I never made it, I’ve never even had it. Anyhoo. Do you have trust recipe recs for this? Links would be good.

Well, one good thing about burning myself with scalding hot milk while cooking is that I’m married to a burn surgeon. That’s…really the ONLY good thing, actually. (I’m ok!)

It’s a nasty wet day outside so I made tear and share apple fritter focaccia and oh wow oh wow. The hardest part (that I failed at) was letting the glaze harden before tearing into it.

Thanks to our focaccia cult leader @mostlybree.kitrocha.com for bringing us all along on this journey.

Hahaha that title is killing me!!
Maybe you'd like to see the amazing cover for WORLD'S OKAYEST ORACLE (RELUCTANTLY) SEEKS DEMON, my book about an infamously underpowered oracle saving the world alongside the uptight demon who helped ruin her life 20 years ago?

I’m reading The Worst Guy by Kate Canterbary. I’m only half way through but Y’ALL it’s the best thing I’ve read in awhile. I’m fully in love with Sebastian Stremmel.

Thank you to all the peeps on my TL who recommended this book!

Um.

With all due respect.

WHAT THE FUCK?
yes yes we all know about the Edmund Fitzgerald, rest her soul, but did you know about the ship laden with explosives that sank in the mouth of the Thames in 1944 and could explode at any minute and which attempts to disarm keep failing

I looked at the goodreads choice awards nominees and I read romance almost exclusively, like 98% of my reading is romance. Of the nominated books, I’ve read one single title. Make of that what you will.

October and November are emotionally difficult bookend months for me. In October, we mark my mother’s birthday, in November, we mark the anniversary of her passing, three years this Friday. I’m trying to cling to all the happy memories of her but it’s just really, really hard this week.

When will this man retire? We need someone in the senate who isn’t governing from a place of fear. We need someone in the Senate who will do their job instead of just trying to keep their job.
MSNBC reported Schumer's office felt that the longer that shutdown went on, the more likely it was that people would start to blame the Dems.

My kingdom for Democrats that don't govern out of fear. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The American people are far braver than their reps.

Cancelling all air travel for the near future bc THE INCOMPETENCE is mind blowing and I’ll be damned if I let Sean The Real World: Boston Duffy to determine the safety of my air travel.
Sean Duffy: "The secretary of war texted me yesterday and said, 'I might have some air traffic controllers. If you could use them, I'm gonna offer them to you.' I don't know that I can, Jake, because they're not certified in the airspaces that we need them. But if I can, I'm going to use them."
