Stop wasting your time searching for the meaning of life; there is none. Focus on giving meaning to the current moment! In essence; if nothing we do matters, all that matters is what we do
What?! I’m a “car lover” and even before the pandemic I loathed the car dealer buying experience! No excitement, just dread. Hence why I’ve always kept my vehicles 10+ years at minimum! A horrible pre pandemic experience is just worse now post pandemic!
It’s not just you: Why car prices have risen so sharply post-pandemic - Shopping for a car used to be an exciting occasion, but for some buyers, excitement is getting priced out of the market as they have to dig much deeper to afford it.

Now Trump says "we" need Greenland.

Well done weak European leaders who tepidly criticized/welcomed Trump’s invasion of Venezuela yesterday.

You're next.

Has anyone here ever heard me say I was the official documentarian of CFNY? I've sure never thought it.

I go out of my way to say two things regarding The Spirit of Radio:

1. I'm fiercely independent
2. When Pete and Geets were on CFNY I was listening to Tom Rivers on CFTR

I'm a documentarian.

Finally finished Stranger Things tonight. I think it was a great and satisfying finale. Overall the series was a fun escapist love letter to the 80s, and being that I too went from a kid into a teen in series’ time period, it hit all the feels for me!

Holy fuck is Chuck Schumer the impotent useless legislator in American history.

See Clinton, W. Bush.
War has always been the refuge of failed leadership. When presidents can’t deliver dignity at home, they export chaos elsewhere.

Empire always claims it’s enforcing law. Indigenous people know it’s enforcing access. #Oil #Venezuela

Donald Trump literally calls the illegal invasion of Venezuela a “precise attack on sovereignty” in his address. How every country in the world doesn’t condemn such an action is unfathomable.

Rubio is claiming that they did not need Congress permission because it was a law enforcement mission. The US is behaving as a global police state, extending its own arbitrary legal decisions to the whole world.

This is not a problem just for Venezuela.

I gotta say the way U.S. military is portrayed in Stranger Things is one hell of an allegory of how they really are; arrogant in their size and perceived superiority/ability, but ultimately brought to heel because of those things. See Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq.

No regrets nuking my Twitter account after 12 years last January. This just confirms it.
For the last few days on X, people (mainly women, and sometimes children) have had nonconsensual images of them in swimsuits (or much worse) requested by users and created by Grok.

Musk's only apparent response thus far has been to crack jokes about it.
so x dot com’s ai generated CSAM and they admitted it may violate US law and … i haven’t seen in anyone in power say much at all or call to stop using the platform

Remember when Doug Ford tried to get rid of the last shreds of rent control a little while ago and we yelled at him so much he was like "Whoops who said that, couldn't be me" and backed down? We should be doing that all the time when they pull that type of fuckery

Indeed. If democratic accountability in Canada functioned properly there'd be 60% more critical attention on our shitty provincial governments and 60% less on the feds.
many of the problems both provinces face are a result of the actions of the provincial governments ... conveniently blamed on the federal govt. Separation would not be an improvement.

On this last day of 2025, I’d like to offer FUCK YOU this year! From losing two friends, one in May & one in November(sudden undiagnosed cardiac event, the former, & a two-year battle with cancer for the latter)to having my work schedule being jerked around by a sociopathic manager, good riddance!

Imagine venerating a sociopath as an “intellectual”. WTF BBC?
"I suspect that, if Donald Trump loses the next election, we're probably going to see pretty much everyone associated with the administration get prosecuted."

Curtis Yarvin gets a softball interview on BBC Newsnight, expresses his fear of the future.

PSA: You don’t owe anyone an explanation about the health reasons why you are wearing a mask.

Badgering others about the tools they need to survive is stigmatizing and ableist, and should have no place in decent society.

100%!!! Trump has always been the symptom. The rot started well before him, he was just able to capitalize on it and the gullible who let the rot consume them, rather than question or push back against all the easy answers offered by both parties!
Your problem is not Trump, it’s a population that voted in that sociopath twice, which cannot be trusted ever again.
