one of the great joys of fandom in the batshit nightmare times were living in is that it’s a fundamentally communal art form. it’s making stuff purely for your own creative fulfillment and to make your ten favorite weirdos happy, and I think that’s beautiful. it’s such a necessary escape these days

you know, if you are so desperate to give constructive criticism to fanfic writers that you insist on leaving it in AO3 comments, there’s always authors looking for a good beta reader! If nobody’s asking you to be *their* beta reader perhaps take that as feedback on the quality of your concrit.
