The fact that people now think the use of em-dashes and colons/semi-colons is the mark of ChatGPT is my villain origin story. You will pry those from my cold dead fanfic writer hands. I use those so much. I probably overuse them but they’re my pretties!

IMO, the most important thing you can learn is that people can be really smart about their two to four things, and exceptionally ignorant about almost everything else. The next important thing is to learn that you are not an exception to this.
Pinker actually did brilliant work in the philosophy of language and epistemology before all of this. Shows that you can be very smart and very dumb, all at once.
