The administration only wants submissive sycophants or authoritarian regimes. There's no such thing as history or honest alliances with them.

We need to remember though, America is so much more than this administration and this cult.

Very interesting article from Claire in West England Bylines about the current and potential future political dynamics in Britain. It's thought provoking and well worth a read.
"The political landscape shows not only that the old duopoly is done but that voters across the political spectrum are now demanding a completely clean slate from government – anything other than the ‘before times’"

For Americans out there, Zack is the new leader of the Green Party here in UK. A refreshingly blunt and fair assessment of Trump I reckon. Well done Zack. 👏🙂

Here we go, they're starting to feel the pressure. I hope the anxiety is overwhelming.

Well said Ed, I wish all the politicians would put the BBC and our country before the likes of Trump. It says so much about the character of those who would bow to the orange tyrant.

BTW the 34 times convicted felon is claiming reputational damage? Laughable and pathetic!
Donald Trump is coming for the BBC and for your wallets.

I urged the Prime Minister to stand up for the 23.8 million licence fee paying households, and tell Trump he won't get a penny.

Davie is one of the main reasons why the BBC is vulnerable. To come out with these comments now, whilst correct, is incredibly hypocritical.

Time to rally behind the BBC and take this opportunity to re-establish it as a bastion of impartiality and serious, determined journalism.
Outgoing BBC DG Tim Davie says the corporation needs to "fight for our journalism". It also needs to fight for its independence. The two are linked. Davie, a former Tory councillor candidate, has inadequately fought for reporting that actually scrutinises rather than simply 'reflects' back opinions.

This is so depressing and infuriating. The flag has been weaponised to intimidate and oppress people, and that is a huge stain on our country.

My heart goes out to all those affected, I just hope they know they're supported and respected by so many of us.

This is beyond offensive. 🤬🤮🤬
Should be a huge news story. Again, why is Maxwell getting special treatment? Why is she in a minimum security camp? How come Trump didnt rule out a pardon?

The resignations of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness must be an opportunity for the BBC to turn a new leaf, rebuild trust and resist those like Nigel Farage who want to destroy it

We must stand up for a strong, independent BBC, to stop Trump’s America becoming Farage's Britain.
November 9, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Wait, what? It was Trump and his minions who complained about Davie and Turness?

Well that should be a lesson for all the right wing apologists and agenda setters in the media. Nothing is ever enough for these fanatics.

No sympathy, they should be long gone... but not to bow down to fascists.

These people blow my mind. Do they ever try to understand why they've lost family, friends and business opportunities due to support of monsters rather than unthinkingly wear it as a badge of honour to show their misplaced & idiotic loyalty to an evil cult & vicious sociopath?

They're contemptible.
Are they finally catching on to his eternal grifting and gaslighting?

This isn't communism, it's racketeering. Straight up racketeering in plain sight.

How is this not grounds for criminal charges? 🤔

Really pleased for Mamdani, a decent person who wants to make a positive difference. Even more pleased for the people of NYC, who will benefit greatly from his appointment.

The usual bigoted suspects will bash him at any manufactured opportunity, like happens in London, but we've got his back eh?

This must be appealed, it's such a dangerous precedent. 😏

This... how many times does it need saying?

Individuals can choose to stay on X (I don't think they should but it's their choice) but how can politicians, government departments and national infrastructure agencies stay on a site that promotes violence and civil war in our country? 😡
The first thing Yaxley-Lennon did on leaving court was to thank Elon Musk for funding his legal costs.

That's Elon Musk who has repeatedly called for civil war in the UK.

As of typing this - all of the major politicians and platforms maintain a presence on X and it is time for them all to leave.
