Used to write about the Cubs.
Still post about the Cubs, as well as the Hawks and Bears.
Yeah, it was a horror show night for the Kaiser-Levshunov pairing. Probably the worst performance by any line/pairing all season.

Difficult to remember but the Hawks actually played really well the first 10-15 minutes of this game.

On May 13, 1985 in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania State Police dropped a bomb from a helicopter onto a Black neighborhood.

11 people were killed, 5 of whom were children.

As we see ICE terrorize communities, understand that saying “this isn’t who we are” is false.

Another PP, another unsuccessful PP.

8+ games and running for the Hawks since they've scored with the man advantage.

Hawks definitely need to open up the backup goalie position to a legit challenge by Commesso next preseason.
We've reached the point where Söderblom has only had basically 3 good months in the last 3 year NHL seasons.

Not a PP goal, but a goal nonetheless. Murphy puts the Hawks up early.
January 30, 2026 at 12:26 AM
Now would be a good time for the Hawks to solve their PP woes.

No reason for this.

I can't imagine how far outside the lines you need to play in the notoriously corrupt MLB IFA system to get banned.

BA should lose subscriptions over this decision.

This does give me hope, but the Trapilo injury is huge.
He won't be a factor next season, and with that type of injury Bears should proceed as if he'll never be the same. Benedet is fine as depth as a run blocker, but doesn't look like starting caliber for pass pro. Kiran looks like a wasted pick.

It's shaping up to be an unexciting draft class at the top. Appears to be no franchise caliber prospects.
But there are interesting battles between pairs of players of similar molds to be the top player at each position. Going to spend this intermission doing a discussion thread. 1/
Working on my monthly NHL Draft ranking update and realized my current top 20 still contains 19 guys from my preseason top 20.
Been movement within that group but patting myself on the back for my spot-on initial assessment, especially as public rankings are now mirroring mine from months ago.

An outstanding 1st period for the Hawks.
Bedard looked the most dangerous he's been since returning from injury.
Donato had maybe his best period all season. He was all over the ice and got rewarded with a goal.
D made quick, decisive passes to quickly break the puck out of their own end.
Beautiful
What an impressive 1st period for the Blackhawks.
I'm not sure they've done a better job breaking out of their own end all season.
And then the forecheck has created turnovers in the offensive end and Hawks have been quick to jump on loose pucks.
2-0
Heading to the PP.
Keep it up guys.

The dumbest, most unqualified federal agents working for the dumbest, most unqualified administration.
1/27/2026 - Minneapolis

ICE just attempted an illegal entry into the ECUADORIAN CONSULATE to abduct someone

They did not have a warrant

Well the first shift for the Teräväinen-Bedard-Nazar line worked out. 1-0 Hawks.

Once again, the Democratic leadership are cowardly enablers not leaders. They are not liberal, they are not progreeisve, they are not even moderate. They are a conservative party and should be labeled as such.
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

They'll just move to new cities, likely ones with a more friendly reception from local authorities/populace to try to wait out the storm.
The violence, incarcerations, and deportations will continue apace. The only thing they want to slow (not stop) is killing white people, particularly white men.
Trump isn't firing Greg Bovino. He's just moving him out of Minnesota and deploying him somewhere else. It's all about the optics, the blowback, and the polls.

The Trump/Miller/Noem/Homan violent ethnic cleansing campaign will continue until a majority in Congress stop it.

Now go beat rhe Pats so I can attend a Super Bowl Parade.

Couple rookie mistakes.
Levshunov bad exit pass.
Greene failing to do a shoulder check on the rim around allows the puck to go to an uncovered Panthers forward.
Florida goal!

Scored by Mackie Samoskevich with 14:40 remaining in the 3rd period.

Assisted by Gustav Forsling.

Chicago: 1
Florida: 2
