Adventures in terrain generation from a heightmap using #godot. The two big issues I'm having are:
- Stitching chunk geometry to neighbors; need to work out some way to generate a border based on the LOD of the neighboring chunk.
- Averaging the normals so it stops looking like an evil quilt.

Finding my own brain very frustrating. Randomly in the middle of the month, after 6-7 weeks of being totally creatively dead, my dopamine switch is back in the right spot and I'm feeling motivated to work on a project. Just... none of the existing outstanding projects, a brand new one.

They need to invent an extra week each month where you can just spend it working on Projects. That would be nice.

Not a great month for working on projects. Got a little bit done on the current Vangers-esque project but fell down a rabbit hole trying to generate geometry instead of just drawing tiles. Travelling for two weeks as of Monday, so will see if I get time for project stuff before EOM.

I spent 45 minutes with silksong and these are my first impressions: is this real? Events appear to transpire beyond some sort of barrier or screen I cannot influence aside from pressing buttons on my "side" of the dividing medium, but if these bugs are really doing all that it should be on the news

My match-4 one month project is feature complete! I wanted to add a story mode, network multiplayer, items, abilities, etc... but maybe I can do those in September. The rest of August is for character art and polish.
