can't believe the BBC edited Donald Trump's posts to make it seem like he threatened violence against members of Congress

Not the first to make this point. But there is a tyrant in charge of another country who is accused of being heavily linked to a paedophile sex ring - and supposed ‘patriots’ in this country are passionately willing him to take down our national broadcaster. Madness.

Alan Dershowitz is one of those claiming Epstein was not a pedophile because he pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. "That’s not a pedophile." See this important response from Julia Brown, the brave reporter who broke the news on this

I've been collecting pandemic era signs that nobody can be bothered to take down or remove. There's something grimly fascinating about this. Putting them up was urgent and important; removing them is nobody's job. How long will some of these hang around?

We estimate the number of non-EU citizens with ILR is likely to be between 620k and 820k

More details on how we reached those figures in the commentary
A key recent discussion about UK migration has been people's rights to settle permanemently - or "indefinite leave to remain" - but how many people have this status? Our latest piece gives you the info (NB - doesn't include EU settlement scheme) migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/co...

This commentary estimates the number of non-EU citizens who currently have settlement, also known as indefinite leave to remain (ILR).

all my core arguments in one case:

1. the modern far right has international ambitions

2. concessions don't pacify the far right, they embolden it

3. you can't be neutral (as the bbc tried to be)

4. they attack where resistance is weakest

5. right now, that's the uk
I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

It’s easy to see why Trump wants to destroy the world’s number one news source. We can’t let him.

The BBC belongs to all of us here in the UK.

The Prime Minister and leaders from across the political spectrum should be united in telling Trump to keep his hands off it.

To be fair, I doubt Farage gets much pleasure from remembering that his side lost World War Two.
Genuinely cannot stop laughing at this title and tagline.

I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

A teenage girl left Ukraine with her mother in 2022 after Russia invaded. Her mental health suffered greatly as a result.

And then ChatGPT advised her on how to kill herself.

There’s no screening for ovarian cancer and it’s really difficult to spot: you can’t squidge your ovaries in the shower to check for lumps. Also it’s very good at masquerading at other things, like IBS and diverticulitis.

Please take a look at this list of symptoms - and share if you can.

The betting industry worries for men’s mental health? These people genuinely do not have enough shame
All in favour of shared spaces that get people out and about and it you’re going to burn money on gambling then yeah, better to do so with a friendly person on hand. But still some incredible “men’s mental health” lobbying against a gambling tax in the Sunday Times. www.thetimes.com/article/f115...
