Recently visited the Glass Flowers at Harvard, a collection of 4,300 extraordinarily realistic glass models of plants crafted by the Blaschkas, a father and son team of sculptors

That’s right, these are all made primarily of GLASS — a fact difficult to accept given how accurate & lifelike they are

Let’s see at the next election if it really is what their electorates wanted or if there was something else at play. #auspol

Liberals deliver slap in the face to voters by dumping net zero
The Liberal conservatives' success in forcing their party to dump its commitment to the net zero emissions reduction target has been a triumph of ideology over pragmatism.

Is there no politics other than today’s Liberal Party meeting happening? We are receiving blow by blow commentary from all media sources. If LABOR were smart they’d introduce a new policy to wipe the LIBs from our collective sight.…they are already wiped from our minds. #auspol

Editorial: Monique Ryan’s bill would stop ministers and senior staff from working as lobbyists for three years after they leave politics. It would reveal who lobbyists meet and force ministers to publish their diaries. The reforms are simple and effective and will not pass. satpa.pe/4mKuCFY

Did you know that when you send a postal vote application to a political party, it can (and does) harvest your personal data, store it, and sell it on to third parties?

It’s illegal in Victoria - but fine at a federal level.

Australia's electoral commissioner has urged voters to "carefully consider" who they give their personal information to as the election campaign gets underway.

Australia is one of the richest countries in the world, yet our tax system is delivering underfunded services and growing inequality.

Making giant gas companies and millionaires pay their fair share would be a step towards a better Australia.

The ACTU is calling for a 25% tax on all gas exports and for the tens of billions it would raise to be invested in public housing…sounds good to me…what do you reckon we should spend all the money we’d get if we stopped giving our gas away for free? #climate

The electorate voted for a senate that has a majority of ALP and Greens.

Murray Watt and the ALP are choosing instead to write laws that will please the LNP and mining companies.

This is not the outcome a majority of Australians voted for.
I’m getting weary of this. This government is representative of what the people of this place want. The argument is with all of us. Turning it into a constant personalised political snipe belittles the nature of the problem.
Thanks to Murray and his ALP pals, weather reports like this will become increasingly scary and weird
