Kind of glad I'm diving into the Trails/Kiseki/Legend of Heroes series (just started the Erebonia games) at this point in time. It really drives home that feudalism and nationalism are bullshit, unfair and dangerous.

This is just one example, but this story is the perfect example of why mediocre white guys are against DEI and this is the “American Dream” they’re trying to preserve. This is the “western culture” they want to protect, and anti-discrimination laws and policies destroy that.

This is very sad to see. Youg people don't understand the incredibly complicated history behind a lot of this divisive rhetoric. They're only seeing the micro-content hyper-compressed and heavily propagandized version of the story and are drawing wrong-headed, hateful conclusions...

I've discovered a new American accent peculiarity. Southerners, especially Arkansas-Georgia-Tennessee corridor area pronounce "vehicle" differently (sounds like vee-hickle) than I've heard it pronounced almost anywhere else.
I could hear it a bit in my family, even. (Florida/Oklahoma areas)
