Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

One of the things that has amazed me is how easy it has been to find the helpers. I'm about to give birth and can't be on the front lines, so I looked for people I could donate to, neighbors we could organize with. Helpers were everywhere and ready to accept anything I could do!
I've never seen a population more united. If people can hold onto that unity, if people can accept that different people will have different ways of confronting fascism, if we can remind NGOs and orgs that they can join but not control the resistance, then, well, people here will write history.

it's never the crazy weird conspiracy theory weapons. they are poisoning you with toxins they are well-documented to have. they are beating you with ordinary sticks and shooting you with ordinary guns

the only conspiracy is how they gained legal immunity to do this
My group was able to recover a spent canister from a green smoke grenade in Minneapolis. We now confirm with physical evidence that it was a green signaling grenade.

Please don't spread rumors about hexachloroethane or nerve agents.

WHY are news stations reading DHS statements out loud as if they have ANY credibility at all? They literally murdered a woman in cold blood LAST WEEK and are still lying about what happened, even though we can see what happened. That any credibility would be given to their statement is insane

The people of MN give me far more hope than the largely feckless “opposition” leaders of our country or the deeply compromised and ineffectual media both-sidesing white nationalist totalitarianism.

I need help: decades ago Minicon was held in a Sheraton that used these pillows. We have two, only one pillowcase, all in bad shape. But they are the pillows my son wants. He’s autistic. Consistency really matters. And I can’t find them for sale anywhere. I’m hoping the internet can help!

Don’t call it ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’ Call it a concentration camp.

Let’s be clear: All the bad shit in this bill—the big cuts—is just normal GOP shit.

This is what the GOP has been aiming to do for decades. Cruel? Yes. Pointless? Yes. Unpopular? You bet!

But the party wholly serves wealth and corporate interests. So gut social spending and cut taxes for the rich.
