I’ve rediscovered the joy of cinnamon toast. A nice whole grain bread. Some kerrygold. And a smattering of sugar and cinnamon.

Live the dream with me.

ICE has been paying private security for 24/7 guards to watch a guy with no record whose leg they fucked up so badly he has been in a hospital for over a month, and we wonder why people were handing Tom Homan bags of cash.

THIS
I feel like part of the problem is that in the modern era, especially in the United States, people think that in order to count, they have to post about their activism or what they're doing.

But here's the thing: you don't.

99% of what I do is stuff I never mention on social media.

I honestly think the Democratic Party is finished as a political entity. Working Families Party, do your thing. I’ve seen enough.
95 democrats, including @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social voted to "honor" the life of charlie kirk, who called for joe biden to be killed and said black women like justice ketanji brown jackson are unqualified affirmative action hires.

shame.

What we're seeing in the "don't sign up for protests" discourse is what Paulo Freire described as the convert's failure to trust the knowledge of the oppressed. As the convert tries to stand in solidarity with the oppressed, they refuse to let go of a world where they were the authority by default.

Illinois is now the first state in the nation to require mental health screenings in its public schools.

Our schools should be inclusive places where students are not just comfortable asking for help — they’re empowered to do it.
Pritzker Signs Legislation to Implement Universal Mental Health Screenings in Illinois Schools
The bill requires all school districts to offer mental health screenings to students enrolled in grades 3-12, at least once a year, beginning with the 2027-2028 school year.
