I've said in the past that I don't write for skimmers. If you skip past something and get confused, well Mr. Policeman, I gave you all the words.

So I'm certainly not going to write for scrapers and summarizers either 🤷‍♀️
Saw a post today that advised writers to stop writing as if a human will read it and start writing for an LLM that will be summarising.

As someone who really enjoyed trying to develop a peculiar but readable authorial voice, I find this incredibly depressing.

Excellent public health messaging from New York City!!

Be the happy peace sign waving emoji instead of the sick and sniffling emoji.

How can you do that?

Wear a mask! Ideally a respirator like an N95.

It’ll help keep you and your community safe.

This really is the core of the issue no matter what group you're talking about. Nothing good will ever come from people who watched a genocide and did nothing (or worse, participated in it). We all know this. Yes, you too.
“We are at a moment right now where people are asking themselves why can’t the Democratic Party defend this assault on democracy . . . and I would submit to you that if you can’t draw the line at genocide, you probably can’t draw the line at democracy.”

Every time chatgpt goes down I wonder if researchers are studying the real-time production of bullshit and absolute fucking nonsense and slop.

Like, could you see a chatgpt outage in real time in such as mediocre students asking for extensions? An unusual increase in sick days?

These issues with moderation have been going on for _years_ on Bluesky.

The underlying problem is the owners not wanting to have to care for a community—they're outsourcing and automating everything and then pretending to be naive about why they're constantly stepping on rakes.

Not for nothing, this is one reason why we say "pregnant patient" instead of "woman." It's not just for non-binary inclusion.
In addition to the fact that it's very much the power imbalance and legal responsibility to protect them that makes them children, it's also disturbing that so many people are willingly like "listen, 15 year olds are hot, and that's a fact." They are children. They look like children.
