Anyone want to help me set up a microtransaction news company, instead of subscribing to every newspaper, you prepay for a set amount of credits, these are deducted on a per article basis when reading a news article behind a paywall.. I'd happily buy a fivers worth of credits every month

The UK is totally obsessed & gullible re the small boats, migrants, refugees & immigrants. There are WAY more important things, Russia/Ukraine, energy prices, Trump tariff threats, pollution, racism, war crimes, infrastructure etc etc. But no...it's the small boats & apparently Starmers fault.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

How fucking embarrassing is it for the entire political establishment that they're being outflanked on the left by MICHAEL FUCKING HESSELTINE
“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social asks Lord Heseltine about remarks he made at Conservative Party Conference.

For the UK, Truss’s ‘mini budget’ felt like the apotheosis of this phenomenon. But three years later, things are actually worse. From the Mail to the Telegraph to Farage, the people who cheered & championed it are all measurably madder.
One path to a successful career as a columnist is to be repeatedly wrong. Not to have unique takes on matters of opinion, but confident declarations proven wrong by events. If you can condescend to people proven right no matter how often you are wrong, the most prominent media would like to pay you.

Public architecture should be designed by people who have lived with disability and homelessness, and the people responsible for this should be retrained by that experience

You shouldn't ask can we afford Nationalisation, but instead ask can we afford Privatisation?

Water costs just £7bn to run in England.

But you are charged £16bn.

That is £9bn a year extra you pay, next year it will be £10bn, and by 2030 nearly £15bn.

It's unaffordable.
