For Lent (In the UK, Lent in 2026 begins on Wednesday, February 18, and ends on Thursday, April 2) you can continue to post what you wish, but I'm sticking to funny cat .gifs for the duration. I'm giving up doom scrolling :) It was that or chocolate.

In a turbulent 4 years, Aurora FC have been a great rock to cling to. They never asked to be a rock, but I'm glad they're there for Season 5.
Good luck for this year, rock on 💪⚽
Just announced: the @uslwleague 2026 Heartland Division!

Ready to see us take these teams on at TCO? Season tickets go on sale next month to lock in your seat.

Season 5, here we come. 💫

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

My learn something new for today, thank you @engineerlondon.bsky.social
Every time I learn something new I realise there are a million other things I don't yet know about.
40 metres (248 steps) under our capital are arterial cable tunnels carrying the Supergrid MIS circuits around and through London. I’ve spent much of the last 15 years building them, commissioning them, maintaining them, and showing the odd party of politicians around 💁🏻‍♂️😘

“IT’S COLD, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING?” is a common response to winter weather. But in certain patterns, climate change enhances the presence of cold in the US. This is one of those times. Here’s how… 1/

A blast from the past! (Or ~323ppm if you record time like a climate scientist).
Remember this feel good hit from 1968? Something about it just hits different today...

Serious question: Do you accept that this is happening?

If you've seen the words 'We need to drastically reduce emissions' and haven't yet passed them on, now would be a good time.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
The UK Govt has quietly published - without announcement - the Joint Intelligence Committee/DEFRA report it suppressed last October. They tried to sneak it out in the midst of crisis. Read and share:

On the subject of World Cup boycotts, this is a story which ought to be much better known: why African countries decided not to compete for a place at the 1966 tournament. One of Fifa's most shameful moments, which hardly ever gets a mention.

How Africa boycotted the 1966 World Cup
The BBC's Piers Edwards explains the little-known story behind the African boycott to the 1966 World Cup, the only World Cup in history to have been snubbed by an entire continent.

Storm Harry poses an extremely dangerous flooding threat to the central Mediterranean. The most extreme rainfall is forecast over eastern Sicily, especially the Province of Catania, where more than 500 mm of rain may fall in less than 48 hours.

Lovely example of disinformation here from the Fail on Sunday.
For the cost of business as usual, add as many zeroes as you want, the laws of physics will apply themselves regardless.
🧵A political/media guide to the "truth" about net-zero

1) Add up costs to install & run a net-zero energy system
2) Pretend fossil-fuelled alternatives wld be free
3) Do say "eco zealots are bankrupting us"
4) Don't say "free cars if we scrap net-zero" cos it sounds ridiculous
5) That's it!

Please read this, even if it's just for the N.I.C E. Agent. (Thank you for cheering me up, Carole). Palantir's UK activities include the Met Police, HS2, and local councils. My major concern is conflicts of interest during conflicts.
Please read this. The UK political & media establishment is asleep at the wheel.
