O man, that Ratboys record lives up to all the hype I was hearing. Can't wait to see them live in Detroit in a few weeks.

This seems absurd and kudos to the music industry for handling this horrible situation much better.

US Olympic Curling Team member speaks out against ICE:

"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."

Well it was pretty fun working this game the last 2 years and saying I got to be a part of a bowl game. That sounds incredibly cool to my 12 yr old self but present day can't really make a case for the game existing.
RIP to the Detroit bowl game.

It is very, very important to remember that YOU DID THIS. You, the people, through an organized mass movement of working people, pushed back on fascism and made the government blink.

No politician did this. A few helped, but this happened because of you, and your political actions. KEEP IT UP.
None of these Republicans and most of these Democrats are not all of a sudden “seeing the light on ICE.” They simply understand the worm turning on public opinion and saving face. They will ALL go back to voting for minority brutalization as soon as they can. You can’t keep falling for this.

Feels like between Rhode Island and this, reddit has rightfully broken through as the only viable replacement for local journalism
I interviewed two of the mods of r/Minneapolis about their tireless work this month: “I just wanted a local subreddit to know what was happening in my city, and now all of a sudden, we’ve turned into this de facto hub of information for basically how to fight fascism.”

Redditors Are Mounting a Resistance Against ICE
A user from r/Minneapolis was among the first to share footage of federal agents shooting Alex Pretti. Following his death, subreddits about football, cats, and embroidery have all rallied against ICE...

Michigan’s @slotkin.senate.gov says she will vote against DHS funding.

Retiring @peters.senate.gov is calling for a “full and impartial investigation by local police” of federal agents fatally shooting two citizens, but hasn’t said if he supports a possible government shutdown.

Every Democratic member of Congress should be on a plane to Minneapolis right now to join the people protesting in the streets. Federal elected officials should physically place themselves between the public and these dangerous thugs sent to terrorize this American city.

Agree.

No one outside the US, who has a choice, should be enabling a lawless and lying regime. Which has become a threat to its own people and the entire world.

(Speaking as an American patriot.)
If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.

Clarity. Theres about 3 politicians left who do it.
As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.
