genuinely one of my biggest recommendations for emulating older games is getting your hands on a scan of the manual somewhere. having that at least accessible is an intended part of the design and experience and a lot of shit that's "obtuse" by modern standards is just expecting you to read it
I'm older than you so I can confirm that they came with a little book that had the tutorial in it and you read it on the way home

Well, I tried to run and it asks you to remove the console from the dock, if not it won't let past the initial screen.
You are able to play in tabletop or handheld mode but you get two displays (for the 3D effect), so you either play that way or resort to getting something like the LABO 3D Glasses

Having to give classes this late in the evening, and the week for the matter, is exhausting.
But at least I know that I have students that actually give a damn about the class and aren't just here for obligation. And that makes it all worth it.

What I would say as a teacher/faculty member: It ain't worth the trouble, kid. Just let him be and don't cause more trouble to yourself.
And me right after: (Kid, did you at least knock his fucking teeth out? Heck yeah, you get a passing grade in my class. Don't worry.)
