Making a reminder note that I'm using Mastodon a bit more in the event shit gets worse here than it already is. Do I expect folks to migrate over? No, but as I've mentioned, backup plans. Probably also shouldn't be on mastodon dot social but hopefully it is temporary.

If you ever wondered how big a deal Virtua Fighter was to Sega, consider how many 3D fighting games they released in the 90s, whether it was arcade and/or home console. I punched up a list of Sega's first-party 3D fighting games with earliest release dates. It was so long, I needed another post:

Good thing I bailed out of the Microsoft ecosystem when I did.
Microsoft is so fucking stupid.

Microsoft renamed Microsoft Office to Microsoft 365 Copilot App

All this discussion on how to pronounce "Tidus" is kind of a headache.

For reference, the correct pronunciation is:

The primary end game of Bluesky is to be the most popular and influential political poster on the platform. You can accomplish this by sabotaging all your potential opponents until you are The One. From there you can turn your newfound online political clout into money somehow.

Thinking it over, I dunno that NoA's really restrictive licensing and cartridge manufacturing policies in the US were really that necessary to prevent an "Atari-like crash" from happening again. The Famicom experienced its own flood of bad software that was being reported in publications at the time

Out of all the weird music rights stuff Sega often has regarding their games and all that, I think the weirdest one is how Ken Woodman's "Mexican Flyer" was not only licensed for Space Channel 5, but Sega then just full on purchased the ownership rights to the song outright.

There's a part in the infamous "Bret Screwed Bret" interview segment on Raw where Vince McMahon says "I regret that his fans, if there is such a thing separate from WWF fans, are in any way hurt by any of this." And it says a lot about how Vince/WWE sees itself as brand first, wrestlers whatever.
The Cena retirement being a year long dud is really something when you see how easy and effective the Tanahashi one was. But sure, wwe is the storytelling company because guys talk during matches
