I've already reposted this but y'all I cannot explain how much this makes me physically ill. The 442nd were goddamned heroes, not only because they performed in combat such that they were given the hardest missions in the Italian theater AND received the most decorations...
The Army just deleted without explanation its page about the 442nd “GO FOR BROKE” infantry regiment—the Japanese American WW2 unit that is the most decorated in US military history.
