I am a swedish writer from Stockholm that writes fantasy and likes history and mythology.
So I have had caffeine, iron and B-12 today. Normally they make me energetic. Not today. My body decide that the proper response was napping. Bodies are weird.

Swedish iron age historian: "All Viking age dogs shorter than 40 cms were just pets."
Me: Yeah. No. That's wrong. A) All domestic animals were way smaller in the Viking age. B) Dachshund and Svensk Vallhund already existed then.

y'all can't even stand up to Schumer and Durbin.
Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".

But there is no "normal". Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows.

Today I adulted and went to the dentist. My reward? I get to go again next week to extract a wisdom tooth. Love that for me.

I just got an invite to a fashion industry networking meeting. On the west coast. Wrong coast and a century too late. (A century ago my dad's family owned a boutique in Gothenburg)

So i spent the weekend at the cottage filled with chaos and fun. Sick niece, cranky toddler nephew, a grumpy older nephew. Oh and the kitchen light didn't work.
But also fun with football with the nephew, reading for the toddler and thrifting.
Here is hoping that I don't get my niece's infection.

Dinner was tasty... until I bit into a piece of beef that had that soil-y taste when something has started going bad. No idea if it was the beef or if I missed something. sigh. Not keeping the leftovers, though. Dang it.

I implore anyone who has an audience and speaks about genAI and LLMs to refer to them as products, not technologies, as much as possible.

Keep hammering that home.
I always try to write/talk critically about tech product design without focusing on particular products, or even product categories, but I continually find that LLM/GenAI products cover all the bases for what makes a bad product bad
