The Albanese government's 'policy development' for the #SocialMediaBan - as in so many areas - put commercial interests first.

This also helps explain the govt's hypocritical refusal to put in place what would be a far more evidence-based ban: on gambling ads.

Great scoop from Cam. #auspol
Scoop: the pro-teen social media ban lobby group 36 Months was funded & co-staffed by its co-founder's ad production firm that was simultaneously making gambling ads

The federal government has ignored calls for a gambling ad ban while pursuing the social media ban.

FOR EURYDICE 🕊️

We remember Eurydice Dixon, who would have turned 30 last week.

In the eight years since her murder, 719 women and children have also been murdered.

We must all fight harder for change.

Trump demanded that the Justice Department pay him ~$230 million for the federal investigations into him; any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior Justice Department officials who were defense lawyers for Trump and those in his orbit.

Precisely.

Instead of fixing it, they argued that meeting international standards was too costly.

They fired me unjustly for speaking the truth.

But I’ll never stop talking about my friend, writer, and amazing human, Jamal Khashoggi.

RIP, Jamal.
