There are multiple national political commentators who earnestly predicted that Eric Adams would be a legitimate presidential candidate and a national figurehead of the Democratic party by now and those commentators still have careers somehow.

Except not really. This is the same type of argument as “you hate Capitalism, then why do you work for…”. Ofc, you should endeavor to not support these companies, but so much of our lives are intrinsically & systemically intertwined with these companies. And not everyone has a Mom & Pop alternative.

But not starting Austin in the second half is interesting…?
not sure how much longer the lakers can stick w/ this starting lineup. starting group was a -14 in just 8:14 in the first half. offensive rating of 66.7 and a defensive rating of 144.4. for the season the starters were a -13.1 net rating coming into this game in 76 minutes.

I understand the point being made here, but the central conceit of this argument is that coaching a WNBA is beneath coaching an NBA team

Absolutely no shade and big ups to the Knicks, but this same energy was not there even a little bit when LAL won the inaugural.
Karl-Anthony Towns sat down and said “Damn, don’t it look good to see champion on a shirt?”

Say what you want about the NBA Cup, but 30 teams have a chance to win it and try to.

Only one did: The Knicks.

You can’t dismiss that.
