Does anyone know anything about old mirrors?

I have one (my great grandparents wedding gift!) that has an issue with the frame, so I've taken the c.1980 mdf backing off & found the original maker stamp.

Except this looks to be from 1926, and my dad says the wedding was earlier than that...

The response as David Seymour is speaking at Waitangi today. The microphone has been cut out and the crowd is singing to drown him out.

Hey Auckland bike folks...

Our work bike cage was broken into this morning. Luckily no bikes were stolen, but my bike charger is gone.

The thieves took a crowbar to the door to get it open, and their car plates don't match the car on CarJam.

Does anyone else get sent pics of dead bugs at work?

Or is it just a museum thing?

Auckland Council has diverted 30,000 tonnes over two years through its green waste bin. #ABetterWorldIsJustWaiting
And you don't want food scraps going into landfill, because organic matter breaking down in an anaerobic environment (no oxygen) creates carbon emissions! Hamilton has already diverted 387, 000 kgs just LAST MONTH with our scheme. 14% of our rubbish and recycling take is food scraps.
Difficult to articulate the rage and frustration of the government cancelling the nationwide household organic recycling scheme. It's not a decision out of greed, it's not out of social conservatism, it's not going to 'save' money, so why the fuck would you even bother???

November benefits data is out. Will post more later.
It is important to understand the harm being done here.
We have added 50,000 people to working-age benefits in the last 18 months. It has typically taken us five fking years (and a housing market boom) to get back from that #NZPol.

Just so we're clear, aside from the social sciences and humanities, this description excludes:
- agricultural, vetinary, and food sciences
- earth sciences
- environmental sciences
- information and computing sciences
- ALL non-biomedical biological sciences
It turns out that JC's definition of science is even narrower than it appears. Biological sciences have been reduced to biomedical applications only.

Presumably this is rushed by people who have no idea what they're talking about (i.e. JC didn't pay enough attention on school)

Incompetence reigns!

I hope to see journalists reporting on Peters announcing the removal of New Zealand’s consent-focused relationship education guide for schools and teachers.

Consent and diversity are internationally best practice sex ed principles and are widely regarded as primary prevention for sexual assaults.

That green patch on the right of the photo is a primary school.

A Warkworth transport group working to improve an intersection described as the worst in New Zealand says it's "appalled and insulted" by the reasons given for shelving the long-promised upgrade.

They just do not want to acknowledge the existing social science evidence that removing racist, sexist and anti-poor barriers to economic participation will make a massive positive economic impact.
This statement in particular is horrifying and clearly not true: “Real impact on our economy will come from areas such as physics, chemistry, maths, engineering and biomedical sciences.”
