Here's a weird one. Catumiri argentinense (little brown dwarf tarantula) molted hanging off the side. She just crawled up the side, hooked a claw into a vent hole and then popped out of her own skin. Haven't seen one quite like this before!

Quick snapshot of my gorgeous theraphosa stirmi tarantula who molted after a whopping 988 days of NOT molting. She looks so fresh!
Hard to say how big she is exactly given her posture, but I estimate as large as my outstretched hand.
She is tightly gripping her molt.

Quick snapshot of my gorgeous theraphosa stirmi tarantula who molted after a whopping 988 days of NOT molting. She looks so fresh!
Hard to say how big she is exactly given her posture, but I estimate as large as my outstretched hand.
She is tightly gripping her molt.

I think it’s bad that the Speaker of the House has been in a sensory deprivation tank since roughly 2015 and only emerges to get yelled at in the hallway outside of the tank.
A personal experience with the absolute hostility of the US immigration system.
Earlier this year I accompanied a friend to USCIS for their final interview. Upon entering the room an officer gruffly approached, stood way too close, loudly and immediately demanding to see their interview notice.

I had one of those dreams that those who care for animals seem to get. I went into my animals' bedroom and discovered a juvenile anaconda that my dream self had somehow forgotten existed. He was thin and ill and injured but alive, and my panic and guilt were overwhelming and kicked off a migraine.
