The Attorney General saying the quiet part out loud: The Trump Administration's intent is to illegally "dismantle" an agency that has returned $21 billion to Americans scammed by Wall Street.

Her victory lap shows how ridiculous the court’s decision was. No one else is fooled.

This divided decision willfully ignores the Administration’s lawless attempt to destroy an agency created by Congress that has helped millions.

But the Administration cannot yet resume its illegal attempt to shut down the CFPB.

The fight continues.

It turns out that amazon sells Plan B at this price (and sometimes lower) so you can basically get it in bulk and share. Maybe in community areas near you. Maybe at your book club, your church, or your favorite knitting store.

A bag with some Plan B, maybe an info zine, some odds and ends...
Costco never sold mife, but it definitely sells plan B!

and the generic is like $6

you can only buy two at a time, though

so if you were, for example, going to start stashing it in community pantries and lil free libraries

get your friends to stock up, too
This is like saying that Costco will stop selling giraffes.
Because you can’t stop selling something YOU NEVER SOLD IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Anyway, get your peanut butter pretzels and birth control at Costco.

I have missed these threads! Might be enough to remember to post on here more than once in a blue moon.
All rightie then. The laptop works, the internet's on, and no lights are flashing in my eyes. We're gonna do something easy, #JewelWatch, a thread of things that stand out in my mind as cool or amazing or funny.

For instance, earrings from DeGrisogono.

Here’s What One of Trump’s Grantee Termination Letters Looks Like
This NEH grantee was told the “immediate termination” of her grant “is necessary to safeguard the interests of the federal government.” Is this America?

In response to what Schumer is saying on TV:
A: The government is ALREADY SHUT DOWN. They’ve been shutting it down since Jan 20, for black people. Perhaps Chuck could acknowledge that??
B: They already have the reins of power. Chuck wants it open so he can continue playing pretend!

The absolute devastation that @chuckschumer.com is about to inflict on D.C. by supporting the GOP’s continuing resolution is hard to overstate. Massive cuts to schools and law enforcement. Teachers laid off en masse. Basic city services may grind to a halt because we *cannot spend our own money.*

I'm also going to do whatever I can for Katie Porter when she runs for Gov of California.
Look- democrats are going to need money to fight back. I am choosing to give some money tonight to @aoc.bsky.social

Let's money bomb her so she can point to grassroots support for her approach. Please repost and share.

I cannot tell a lie.
I have to say: Chuck Schumer is a weak man and a fool. This was the one cudgel Dems had. Now it's up to the courts which we new from the beginning were at best going to slow some things down. There's 18 hours left to somehow bring additional pressure to bear. It will be really hard to do that.

This is correct. In addition to all the other grave consequences of this bill it essentially defunds a big chunk of local DC government.
I don’t think enough attention has been put on how services for DC residents are going to be destroyed they have to find 1$ billion dollars in their budgets from schools, police, fire, parks etc
