(1/2) I’ve been trying it to find areas of activism that feel right because all of the ones from the last 20 years of my life…I can’t participate with them. They do more harm than help for every day people.

I still have moments of disbelief that my mother would start fights with me over her love and loyalty to this man. I spent so much time trying to avoid any and all topics that allowed him to sneak into the conversation.
