Todd Blanche is helping cover up a murder. Our federal government is run by monsters.
BREAM: Is the FBI investigating the ICE agent who shot Renee Good?

BLANCHE: What happened has been reviewed by millions of Americans bc it was recorded. We investigate when it's appropriate. That is not the case here. We are not going to bow to pressure. So no, we are not investigating.

The effort to present Trump's East Wing ballroom as "abundance" (see, Ross Douthat) was never in good faith, but it completely misses the point that the laws do not apply equally. So Powell is subject to extraordinary accountability, and Trump is subject to none. That's personalism, not abundance.

jd vance would sell his *own* children for a percocet if he thought it would get him closer to the presidency
NEW: JD Vance supported US strikes on Iran this week and reasoned that Trump had to enforce his own red line, per sources. It was a surprise role reversal for a politician who built his identity on opposing Middle East wars with a loose connection to core US interests

ICE has kidnapped so many people from their cars that the city had to put out this statement. Let that sink in.
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.

The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.
Breaking news: The Justice Department has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as part of an investigation alleging that they are impeding federal law enforcement officers’ abilities to do their jobs in the state.

I genuinely don't understood how America took the emoluments clause -- the common-sense bar on a president using his powers to line his own pockets, a law children can understand -- and just said, nah, that doesn't apply for our Very Special Boy.
He’s turned the presidency into the world’s largest ATM machine.

The head-in-the-sand messaging coming out of the mainstream liberal consultant class is so alienated from political reality it might as well be on Mars. This is the easiest policy win they could score right now and the leaders seem terrified of it.

She said she didn’t want to live in a violent society. She meant she was OK with violence from claims desks.
