Watched Infinity Pool and just nodded along the whole time. Like, yes, the world is now the Infinity Pool resort, it finally makes sense.

Punched myself in the face trying to pull the cork out of a fancy bottle of Belgian beer. Had a (minor) black eye and everything.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

Great day for people who weren't satisfied with a government composed of only 97% bottom-feeding chuds.

The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

When Trump says it won’t end up costing the United States to illegally invade and “control” Venezuela because of the value of their oil, he means there will be a massive public cost, but that’s ok because private companies and oligarchs, including his family, will make a ton of money.
People wondering whether the US is going to be able to "run the country" of Venezuela at "no cost" might like to remind themselves it's a place one-third *larger* than Afghanistan, the running of which cost the US $2,260,000,000,000. (That's $2.26 trillion).

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

I was working at a public library in Alabama when The Wind Done Gone was published, suddenly EVERYONE was an overnight expert in copyright law.
Was just thinking that Gone With the Wind will be public domain in 6 years.

Considering the tantrum the Mitchell estate threw about The Wind Done Gone, I think you all know what to do with that information.

Lovecraft style horror in which the eldritch monster is a repellent squirming mass of old men who have merged with a diner & now slither around the globe destroying all knowledge & society.

I can't get over how stupid this is. "Oh, I have to pay more for condoms? Guess I'll just have a baby I don't want." Like have these policy makers ever interacted with humans

Every time I've decided to boycott a business (Target, Home Depot) I've discovered that it's pretty easy to fulfill my needs elsewhere in our hyper-capitalist society. These companies NEED us to exist & they forgot that we don't need them.
I feel in my bones that the wave has started to crash back in and Certain People/Companies who thought they were safe to abandon everyone they’d been pretending to care about will suddenly realize that those people have money/power and I, for one, will be holding a grudge until the end of time 💜

Along with the underlying assumption that socialists should only wear sackcloth and ashes, it's fucked up & sorta sinister to describe ethically made & reasonably priced boots as "luxury."
