Fire is great. We couldn't have built civilization without it.
Capitalism is great. We couldn't have built civilization without it.
but free market capitalism isn't the solution to everything, just like we don't light everything on fire just because it burns.

I do think this is a point of radicalization because a lot of angry, angry normal people were ready to dig in and suffer a lot in order to make fascists suffer a little, and their resolution was sold out and made into a mockery

OK, here's my Bond pitch: The Candidate. Basically its the 1st men in black movie but bond. Naval Cdr. recruited for a test. There were only supposed to be six but a young analyst thinks this guy is great so sneaks him in as a 7th. Hijinks ensue, the test becomes a real emergency, good guys win

I think I would honestly just not explain it. New actor, new show. Bond is, indeed, eternal.

Hi, it's me, Bsky's biggest continuity wanker. I think Doctor Who is a single self-consistent story and get nervous when travel times between known destinations in Star Trek don't line up.
Are you dense? Do you think Casino Royale happened before Dr No? Who was Lazenby Bond calling "The other guy"?

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Right. Here's my big pitch:
Muppet James Bond
James Bond in…A Heart-Felt Goodbye
Dominic Cooper as Bond
Kermit M Frog
Mrs Moneypiggy
Beaker & Dr Bunsen HoneyQ
The agents of G.O.N.Z.O. want to kidnap the world's chickens. MI5 has a mole (Rizzo the Rat). An agent is undercover as a chef in Sweden.

New Book Day! Please tell the world. Read a comic about it here: www.smbc-comics.com/comic/sawyer...

Thanks everyone! It took me over a year to write, but I think you and/or your kid(s) will have many laughs together.

to look on, for lack of a better word, the bright side here - "Dems are feckless losers" is not going to be the main story for very long because Trump can't help doing some new bullshit that sucks the oxygen out of the room every five minutes, so we'll be onto something else by next week

No. Although a significant portion of food goes to waste in the U.S., the percentage is below 50%, according to food organizations.

a cloture vote to end debate, & a spending bill in the Senate that ~possibly~ ends the shutdown.
lots of shouting about surrender & leverage & betrayal but it boils down to: A single cloture vote to advance a single bill, & move the whole process from one where the Senate was stalled, to the House

In Thursday's caucus meeting, the Gang claimed they had 10 votes to cave. The caucus went nuts, leading to the new proposal.
