A great thread: when we think of disinformation, we rarely think about books. Here's an example of how they fit in the current media ecosystem and how state actors use them
🧵Have you ever heard of LLM-authored books being used as part of an disinformation operation?

Well now you have!

Someone screwed up the target development. Either Trump’s team got played by someone in the Nigerian government to settle a score for them or our own intel folks screwed up the targeing. Unfortunately, Hegseth got rid of the civilian harm mitigation folks that would’ve checked the homework.

There is no chance they are going to risk this by rolling the dice on free and fair elections and people should act accordingly I am not trying to be dramatic but I don’t think you can vote your way out of this situation at this point.

The incredibly corrupt, lawless, & unconstitutional nature of the entire DOGE enterprise requires Elon Musk and lots of other people to spend the rest of their lives in jail.
The Wisconsin component of the analysis here is revealing. Evidence is consistent with DOGE strategically delaying contract terminations in WI until after the 2025 state Supreme Court elections to mitigate electoral risk.

I’m going to keep pointing this out because I don’t think people really appreciate the implications here. There’s an incredibly strong incentive structure that’s been building for years that ensures that the idea of free and fair elections in the US moving forward are highly unlikely.
New in PN: Trumpers are *still* scheming to overturn the 2020 election

"Trump’s conspiracy theories, threats, & endless lawsuits aren’t simply about proving non-existent fraud in 2020. They’re part of an *actual* sprawling plan to sow doubt in future elections — specifically, ones Republicans lose"

I genuinely hope you all do figure this shit out and are able to do what it takes to make sure this never happens again, your standing with the rest of the world literally depends on it.
It’s going to be some bullshit respectability from the center and some bullshit bleating about identity politics from the left and some bullshit religious forgiveness from the right.

I’m just going to expire from unrequited rage.
It’s very very frustrating to know that there isn’t much chance of any accountability for this behavior after Trump

In 2025, Russia has been framing the EU and Ukrainian leadership as "warmongers", who don't want to stop the war in Ukraine. This, of course, is an outright lie. In reality, it's the Kremlin who has rejected at least seven peace proposals in 2025 alone.

Don't be deceived.
