Not a misstep. Not arrogance. Pretty sure this is a deliberate move aimed at normalising their presence. Next up: a blog post from a Meta lawyer about how useful the stalkerglasses are in accessing briefs and additional documents. Then maybe some placed media commentary from buyable dipshits.
"The judge upbraided the Meta team and said if you guys have recorded anything, you have to dispose of it or I will hold you in contempt," Jacob Ward, a technology journalist and the host of the Rip Current Podcast, told CBS News, calling the incident "an extraordinary misstep" by Meta.

A Los Angeles judge ordered Meta officials to remove their AI glasses at a trial over the impact of social media on users.

The American president is more insulated from accountability than a British royal.

i used to carry a cane because there was no other way to signal that i really, really couldn't stand on public transport, that i couldn't run or hurry, and that i needed the disabled toilets. the cane did nothing for me, but without it, i was fucked.

this is really great. i hope for more progress.
"Please keep priority seating available for riders with disabilities. Remember: not all disabilities are visible" is the announcement I just heard on the Light Rail in Seattle. I have never heard that second sentence before, hooray for progress, wherever we can find it.

Still thinking about the woman a few weeks ago who asked if she could take a picture of this Molly Crabapple poster in our shop. When I told her I could give her one, she said "I don't think I should take it. I'm an immigrant."

We are at an airport restaurant. A robot just drove up to us with our food, said, "Hi! Here I am!" and then drove away with our food.

Just another day when I think about how much easier and relaxing literary events would be if bookstores still required masks for events as a general policy. So exhausting to make this request, especially when many venues will not honor it.
