A nice obituary for Alice, who was going to be recognized as one of The Post 50.

I hate that we now have to live without this phenomenal woman.

this was SO fun to write 🍽🥩
It's chic, it's tasteful, and it's dominating the literary landscape: cannibalism. Readers are hungry and author @wenyilee.bsky.social examines its relationship to revenge, exploitation, and desire 🥩

Are you a marginalized author (or the editor/agent/publicist of one) who has a trad pub book coming out in 2026 that is science fiction, fantasy, or horror and either adult or young adult? This book critic wants to know about it! Small press strongly encouraged.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

after decades of “vote blue no matter who” to preserve the power of cartoonishly corrupt officials, now it’s literally “vote blue unless he’s brown.” once again proving industry dems are not working for NYers best interests, which is exactly why they don’t want someone who MIGHT in office
here on election day eve the thing about zohran’s campaign—which to me, a lifelong NYer, has felt like the first authentic hope for my city we’ve had in a while—is that the backlash has proved the “democratic” party to be just as openly, comfortably wh!te supremac!st as any other party.

Where are the red-blooded American patriots who‘d die for these spacious skies and amber waves of grain? How does poisoning the land contribute to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, even for wealthy white conservatives?
“‘Over the next three years or so, unless Congress steps in, the Park Service will be pretty seriously damaged, you might almost say dismantled,’ says former NPS director Jonathan Jarvis, who served as the agency’s head from 2009 to 2017…
