Y'all I just got my new glasses and incredibly I don't have to guess what words are anymore all the time. Just most of it. They're glasses made to help my eye converge properly instead of stare ahead forever and it's kind of like having chromatic aberration on all the time

Confrontation is scary! Most people don't like feeling unsafe. But confrontation is a simple part of life and we all grow from it. Understanding that we are animals that have crappy feelings sometimes that we need to show actually brings people closer together than a constant state of "harmlessness"

"The more 'UwU I'm a soft wittle baby bean that hates confrotation' someone is, the worse they are as a person" is a simple truth because the feelings of confrontation don't disappear just because you're not facing it. The unaddressed bitterness and frustration and negative feelings twist you.

From there on, any time someone said something homophobic nearby, I just had to give them one look for them to inmediately perk up, say "sorry" and lower their head.

I see a lot of people bring up "I can't believe young people these days say x or y about women" and things like that. Nothing would be more powerful than someone they admire setting a good example, but lacking that, consequences are the next best thing
