Just saw a Nazi blaming Jews for the existence of trans people.
A few minutes later, I saw a leftist blaming Jews for anti-trans legislation.

Horseshoe theory is only true for one specific thing and it's antisemitism.

I feel bad for Nancy Guthrie and her mom but why is this the top story right now? Did you know the EPA just declared that greenhouse gasses aren't real? Seems a bit more important!

The exact problem with Bondi is that she knows how to practice law... which means she knows how to pervert it most effectively. Matt Gaetz was actually the better case scenario because he would have fallen flat on his clownish face. Imagine a known pedophile trying to handle the Epstein files.

Man I'm so goddamn sick of ai. "Wahhh you can't have a reasonable conversation about ai on here," yeah maybe be mad about the two year parade of scam artists and financial charlatans and environmental ruiners who have radicalized everyone against the spell check that agrees with you

One thing you realize talking to Trump supporters is that they don't actually listen to Trump and get mad when you try to show them clips of him actually talking.

Their idea of Trump is kind of like a normal person's idea of God. It's personal to them as individuals, and can take any shape needed.

AIPAC absolutely exerts undue influence on American politics in the service of Israeli interests. But that's not an argument against AIPAC. It's an argument against money in politics writ large.
The real tell is that the AIPAC fear-mongerers get very upset when you point out that big oil and big tech spend orders of magnitude more money on lobbying.

They also don't like when you point out that it's an American organization funded by American donors which gives to American politicians.

Hard to convey what it feels like to care so deeply about an issue like Palestine and to see so many people claim to feel the same while doing nothing but spreading antisemitism and trying to organize protests against random falafel shops in Brooklyn or whatever
I spent a lot of time before TikTok suppressed my account trying to warn people about Guy and many other prominent white "pro-Palestine influencers" but nobody liked it and I just got accused of being a secret Zionist.
Guy Christensen, a pro-Palestinian influencer with over 3 million followers, built his audience as a left-wing activist.

Now he's posting about "Jewish supremacy" in the Epstein files and sharing content from over antisemites like @/AdameMedia.

Yes, Jewish supremacy is a thing. And ALSO the far right has been using the phrase for years in order to convince people the issue isn't white supremacy but Jews.

Now the Epstein case has magnified this issue and legitimized the claim, spreading to the left and beyond. Important to see this.

Anyway the only thing I really have to say about antisemitism on the left is that goyim are irritating

Anti-Zionist Jews were trying to ward this off as well but we were continuously silenced and told to stop "centering Jewish feelings."

We weren't centering our feelings. We were fending off Nazis and "leftists" protected the Nazis.
The exact thing that antizionist/non-Zionist Jews have been warning would happen, is happening — thanks to the Israeli government's insistence that Israel, by definition, speaks for world Jewry and that any criticism of Israeli's policies is antisemitism.

This inevitably LEADS to antisemitism.

How do you suggest things to the @bsky.app team because I do not think people should be able to QP you without the ability to reply. It forces you to make your own QP instead, when you'd rather not drag a conversation over to your timeline.

“Legacy outlets like LARB.”

I shall now make the journey to the top of the wintry mountain and wait there alone for death to extinguish my oldness.
The old world is dying and, as an early career writer, I find myself less and less compelled to try and publish anything with legacy outlets like LARB.

The great task of writers at this moment is to be midwives for a new world. Preferably one not held up by hidden exploitation at all levels.

The New Yorker is publicly humiliating itself by credulously publishing slop. Anthropic is a running joke in the tech press because the entire company appears to be a cult that worships its own product.

Do you know how out of touch you have to be for other AI people to think *you're* a cult?
Experiments conducted with the A.I. system Claude are producing fascinating results—and raising questions about the nature of selfhood. Gideon Lewis-Kraus reports from inside the company that designed it, Anthropic. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/rOfXjg

Matt Gaetz was in some ways the better case scenario for USAG. The problem with Bondi is that she had prior experience as state AG, which means she can pervert the law competently. Gaetz would have fallen on his face. Can you even imagine a known pedophile trying to handle the Epstein files?
