batty old lady doesn't understand how ai works isn't a huge sin in my book. she seemed to soften a little when people sent articles explaining the impact on climate. some of her other opinions are far more unhinged and fun to hate.

lmao i saw the same video on my YT homepage today and was like "uhhh no you didn't"

given that she once QT'd me for telling her not to share AI "art" she'd been sharing, only to tell me I was a moron for disliking AI, it's good to see her ire directed productively

Was it, or was it reported on right after? Also, the systemic racism and abuse at his factories was going on since 2014 as you can see in the screenshot (article linked).

At the time, I was very concerned, as were tech journalists. More accurate to say no one with any power was concerned.

Read about that fuckassery and other similarly horrifying fuckassery in this piece I wrote a couple years back

Elon Musk's Biggest Tech Failures That No One Talks About - SlashGear
Elon Musk has had more major failures than the average person, costing people money, jobs, and in some cases, their personal sense of safety.

as others pointed out he was a piece of shit a while before that. there's a reason people were shocked that grimes dated him, aside from simply being a billionaire.

she only has power over the deserving. i once told her not to share AI "art" and she QT'd me saying i was dumb for being mad about AI. i didn't receive so much as a single mention about it.

true, but our incumbent had already been crushed on the back of covid. maybe it was so shocking that we needed to vote two people out in a row, but that doesn't then explain voters putting trump back. i'm just saying i understand why the discussion *feels* like it might be in bad faith to will & co.

Now in reality it's that Biden was horrible at messaging and the fascist propagandists only redoubled their efforts during his term. They managed to associate a lot of the biggest shocks with him and he did very little to counter that messaging which people interpreted as tacit admission of guilt

Feels like a lot of the anger from Will types stems from the fact that Trump presided over the worst of the failures to staunch the bleeding both literal and figurative from COVID. Hard to understand why the public backlash landed with Biden and rewarded Trump vis a vis the drinking bleach et al

JCO dunked on me once but it was to defend generative AI "art." I definitely bragged about that (and clearly still do) but I'm glad her ire has finally found a more worthwhile target.

I saw it on the computer at my local library at age 16, pirated from a seedy website, and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. If I had watched it after my frontal lobe was developed and having read the book prior, I would probably also have fumed.

Very impressive until you remember who she was up against

I remain a Snyder hater but a Snyder Watchmen defender. Even though I agree with most criticisms of it, I like the movie.

his entire thing is being smart. if he's assumed to be smart, you can't say he's running his businesses like an idiot. it must be that he knows something no one else does.

smart people read. musk has claimed to be a prolific reader. if that's a lie, the house of cards comes down.
