Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Reporter: What did the president mean when he called the reporter piggy?

Leavitt: I think the president being frank and open and honest to your faces rather than hiding behind your backs is a lot more respectful than what you saw in the last administration

Rep. Jason Crow: “Karoline Leavitt is outright lying. Actually, what she said from the podium is that there was an encouragement of disobeying lawful orders. We actually said the exact opposite.”

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Jeffries: I guess he's saying he could beat George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. This guy couldn't beat Richard Nixon right now because he's been such a disaster.

PTFO collaborated with @msjpauly.bsky.social and @motherjones.com on an investigation into Riley Gaines.

Riley’s messaging about trans athletes involves “predatory men” and “sexual assault.”

But there’s an important story multiple ex-teammates at Kentucky want you to know: youtu.be/iKUl8lkuGOc?...

John Oliver and Co did a great explanation of what public media does, and who exactly the funding recission actually hurts (Hint: it's not liberal elites.) Also very proud to see my old friend and former WBEZ reporter Lauren Chooljian featured for her amazing work.

If Bondi pulls the “I can’t release it, it’s an active investigation,” bring articles of impeachment against her🤷‍♂️

If any House Rs vote against impeachment, they are outed fake voters on the release of the files. And now no less politically safe than had that voted against the release. Politics.

Sounds like a bit for @lastweektonight.com
I would like an actor to do dramatic readings of Epstein correspondence including all illiterate punctuation, spacing, and capitalization.
The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.
