The Mr. Kraft nonsense has picked up again here. I swear it happened less when the Pats stunk.
Small thing watching the Bills presser.

I'd address Terry Pegula as Terry. Not Mr. Pegula.
Ever see LeBron or Josh Allen addressed as Mr. James or Mr. Allen? Exactly.

Be an equal. The whole Mr. Mara, Mr. Kraft that NFL TV people do. Nonsense.

Being a billionaire does not equate an honorific.

How would Murdoch have played that in 2010?

NEW for Sports Business Journal:

I spoke with Tom Brady's NFL producer and director and asks them SPECIFICALLY why Brady has improved as a broadcaster. Their answers were illuminating.

How Tom Brady got so ‘damn good’ as an NFL analyst in his second season with Fox
Tom Brady is a much-improved broadcaster in his second year in the booth, but the interesting part is understanding why Brady has improved.

One very surreal part of this conversation for me:

Asking Olson what it’s like to negotiate with
@theathletic.com versus an ESPN, Fox Sports, Netflix etc….
NEW PODCAST: The guest is Matt Olson, a Sports Media Agent at CAA.

Olson represents Laura Rutledge, Elle Duncan, Dan Orlovsky, Diana Russini, Adnan Virk among many other clients.

If you want insight to the talent agent world, this is one to listen to:

No stranger to sports media -- or sports as (one of Jim Valvano's faves, I've heard) -- this pod is moving to the head of the class. One of few former athletes who moved from analyst to p x p without skipping a beat.

One of the great skills in modern business — and I have seen this so many times in sports media — is the ability to manage up. To manage your boss. It can often more important than your own skill set and output.

I now know Brandon Beane is good at this.

Sean McDermott just nailed it in his press conference.

The officiating process on the Cooks-McMillian play was terrible.

Those who cover the team would know better than me but I've never seen Josh Allen this inconsolable after a game.
January 18, 2026 at 1:33 AM
When watching a team play on the road in the playoffs, especially at a very tough place to play such as Denver, I always think about the games during the regular season that would have made a difference on home field. For the Bills: That Monday night loss to Falcons really stands out to me.

That last 60 seconds for the Bills should have been directed by Roland Emmerich.
