This is truly fascinating signing by the Blue Jays. So curious to see how it plays out.

This is why I will be checking out the following today:

1. Guests who appear on cable news near-daily
2. Billionaires who post repeatedly on X.
3. ESPN and FS1
This might be an antiquated thought but when significant global news occurs, I seek out people who have spent years studying the region, who offer nuance over bombast and who do not reflexively predict a longterm outcome based on tribalism.

I'm now convinced:

Saban is running for governor of Indiana.
Nick Saban keeps suggesting Bama may be taking Indiana lightly. Is he coaching, or does he mean it?

The NFL's three game average on Christmas was 22.9 million viewers.

The NBA is never going to touch the NFL again on Christmas in my lifetime.

But.....

The NBA should still go all-in on Christmas Day. A great publicity vehicle for them and they have a clear audience that will watch.
The NBA had a very good Christmas Day given the NFL comp. The five games averaged 5.5M viewers, up 4% from 2024.

Spurs-Thunder averaged 6.7M viewers in in the 2:30 p.m. ET window and peaked at 7.4M

That's ESPN’s most-watched NBA Christmas game in the time slot since 2017.

One of the things I think about often is that everyone under the age of 25 has grown up in a world where the craziest shit from the White House is like your average Wednesday. What will be the impact of that?

(Yes, I know the answer.)

This is a really well done profile.
An Indianapolis Colts season that started with deep grief soon crescendoed into joy.

It ended in disappointment.

Now, the NFL’s most atypical owner faces her first and likely franchise-altering offseason.

So who really is Carlie Irsay-Gordon? How does she think and lead?

I've said this for many years and believe it more than ever today:

Women's college volleyball is a content play that is really going to grow in the next 5-10 years. If I was running a content place, I'd hire someone to cover this now.
