“I’m on my ass naked in three inches of bathwater in my divorce apartment.”

Thrilled to have my first story of 2026 in the Mardi Gras microfiction issue of Boudin/McNeese Review! A tiny tale about tears and the particular sadness of watermelon shampoo.

When I lived in Iowa in the mid-‘80s, me and my 6th grade friends had a breakdancing group and did demos for the whole school. Good times, even better fashion 🙂

Based on what I know it’s likely I’ll have 4 short stories published in the next few weeks, which is an awesome and rare coincidence for me. So I’m going to apologize in advance for the equally likely uptick in my social posts as the stories become available online!

Being in a country illegally isn’t a huge crime, it’s a paperwork issue. That’s it. Paperwork. If you don’t like immigrants being here illegally get up and go help people with their paperwork. Help them get lawyers. Keep them safe until their paperwork is ready. Otherwise stfu.

Because of Trump and congressional Republicans’ inaction, insurance premiums are skyrocketing and tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians are being forced to go without health insurance.
85,000 Pennie customers dropped health plans as tax credits shrank and costs spiked
The number of people dropping coverage is expected to increase in the next few months, Pennie warned.
