Nobody in graduate school warned you that “the long 19th century” just meant we’d still be doing race science and miasma theory well into the 21st century.
I’m sorry for your loss.

A lot of fucking randos on this website sure thought that “you” somehow included them. No, let me be clear: “you” only ever means the people I follow and have meaningful interactions with. It never means some rando on the internet who wrote a book about Jeebus.
If you wrote a book in the past 5-10 years, then chances are I bought a copy. Chances are also quite good that I haven’t had time to read it yet bc 🌪️.

My only complaint about the halftime show was that BB didn’t throw a roll of paper towels toward the camera at the end while sneering, “Catch this, pendejo.”

But this morning I cracked open this juggernaut by @minxmarple.bsky.social and immediately questioned everything I ever read before, including my own ability to read. I’ve already started putting exclamations in the margins.

But if you are reading “a boring book,” why? WHY???

Might I suggest:
a different book.

And if you’re writing a review of “a boring book,” then your opinion doesn’t matter. Shut up and do your job, which is REVIEW.
February 9, 2026 at 1:27 PM
What if there are no boring books, only boring readers?
February 9, 2026 at 1:19 PM

Are there any classic illustrations, drawings, paintings, etc. of Exodus 33:22-23 (Moses in the cleft of the rock)?

I laughed in the depths of my soul when I read: “the ethnic group Poles hate the most is Poles.”
