The Supreme Court just refused to stay this young girl's removal to Venezuela, uprooting her from her life in Texas to a foreign country where neither of her parents currently live. Sotomayor and Jackson note their dissents.

Yeah, "Circumstances Left Teen Vulnerable to Exploitation" is a very odd way to write "Matt Gaetz sexually exploited vulnerable teen,"
or
"Republican Congressman sexually exploited vulnerable teen."

I wonder what would cause a newspaper to write it in such a passive voice.
In Matt Gaetz Scandal, Circumstances Left Teen Vulnerable to Exploitation

This is the most anodyne headline for a truly horrific set of facts.

The move comes after Microsoft revoked ICC head Karim Khan’s email access when he was sanctioned by the US for the warrant against Netanyahu.

haha remember that multi-year stretch where MAGA threatened Silicon Valley giants with fake antitrust inquiries unless they kissed the ring and stopped moderating racist right wing propaganda, resulting in a lot of gullible tech press stories about how the right was going to "rein in big tech?"

They are cosplaying as an occupying army because that is what they are
I simply refuse to accept that police ever have to look like this. this is just pure cosplay. it should be illegal for cops to be dressed like soldiers going to war.

The GOP has always been a neoliberal party that wants poor people to die. They offer nothing, but largess for the rich and immiseration for the vast majority of people. Many Democrats are just GOP-lite.
This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

We investigated -- and found little evidence to support the government’s claims about Tren de Aragua.

If the Biden administration had sent federal agents to do a law enforcement operation 10X milder in a white suburban neighborhood in order to apprehend a serial pedophile and violent domestic abuser who happened to be a white Christian pastor, the MAGA crew would have reduced the country to rubble.
NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

A photojournalist was arrested by ICE at gunpoint — and his DACA status revoked.

“Ya’akub isn’t being accused of breaking immigration law — his DACA protection doesn’t expire until May 2026. In fact Ya’akub’s lawyers say he hasn’t been accused of any crime.”

Reminded of all the banksters who didn't go to jail for all of their rank corruption after they crashed the world economy in 2008. Both parties protect those who commit fraud and they foster corruption. Of course they would cover Trump's ass.

Getting annoyed listening to charter school activists lie again and again that charter schools are public schools.

They are not.

They are publicly funded private schools that siphon money away from public schools and produce no better results.
