Waymo is already way ahead of Tesla and Zoox may be ahead as well.

After the last year, the brand is damaged and unlikely to rebound as long as its leader is so divisive.

Prepare for another Boycott of Tesla by the 2026 General Election. Musk is planning, again to influence the outcome of US elections by securing protection for his businesses from US Regulations, and paying higher taxes.

That’s because the “break things quickly and fix them” strategy at Space-X, doesn’t work with the public sitting in the passenger seat.

What good are driverless cars? They solve no environment issues. People tout their safety big deal. Mostly, I suspect they wish to remove wages from people that drive vehicles and increase profit.

China is busy investing in renewable energy and electrifying their economy to get away from oil.
They are preparing for the future while we play games with AI and crypto.

When a pampered oligarch is given free reign to "move fast and break things" on the public streets people are going to die.
I understand the politicians are afraid to stand up to him, the question is why does the public allow this to happen. It seems to me we need some coordinated sabotage.

You can get behind Waymo’s and Tesslers together pretty easily in Austin. Tesslers drive like assholes. That’s the best explanation of it. And they get confused or choose the unsafe path a lot. The amount of lane changing they do too is crazy.

It’s just Leon playing a video game with live humans.

Why TF are the companies starting in the biggest, most difficult cities? Why not start somewhere where there isn't so much traffic and expand from there?
It is hubris. The tech bros have to conquer Everest first to prove their manhood.

The Tesslers use bike lanes as street parking. But they don’t fully pull in to the lane and commit. They have half the robotaxi hanging out in to the traffic lane.
It’s wild to watch in person how bad their mapping is. They literally just pull over anywhere. Safe or not.

I have to say that I think these robo taxis in any way are a terrible idea. On the strip in Las Vegas this week a car stopped right in the middle of oncoming traffic and got lost and didn't know what to do with people in the car. Sounds super safe...

as long as his promises the shareholders fully self driving cars the line keeps going up. now how long that is sustainable with no real returns is anyone’s guess. the market is more irrational than i’ve seen it before

You are correct. Tesla products need to be banned from our roads. They have the highest crash rate for any manufacturer of both drivers and pedestrians. If this were anyone but Musk, the cars would not be allowed to be sold in the U.S. smartfinancial.com/car-brands-w...

And we’re not getting rid of other drivers in cars for at least another 50 or 100 yrs

Platforms need to take into account the aggressiveness or inability of other drivers on the road

And don’t for a moment think these competing platforms won’t cause accidents if V2V data doesn’t become mandated
