Essentially 3 ways Virginia redistricting lawsuit could end:

1. Referendum is voted down and whole case is moot

2. Referendum is approved and court agrees with Dems (or just says it’s too late)

3. Referendum is approved, but court agrees with GOP and strikes it down

🚨🚨🚨Virginia Supreme Court lays out schedule for redistricting case

Allows the April 21 referendum to go forward with early voting starting March 6

BUT seems to leave open possibility of final ruling after referendum

This goes back to very limited relief lower court granted

🚨 BREAKING: In a big win for voters, the Virginia Supreme Court said the state could hold a special election on Democratic lawmakers’ redistricting plan aimed at countering Trump’s GOP gerrymanders nationwide.

Virginians will get the chance to vote on the measure on April 21.
In victory for Democrats, Virginia Supreme Court says redistricting vote can go forward
Voters will get to decide on a proposed “10-1” map that could deliver four more Democratic seats in Congress.

Mallek laments the possibility of gentrification, tearing down a 800ft house and a yard to replace it with 16 units with no green space.

I feel like she's completely skimming over the value of those 16 additional homes.

Just hopped off a phone call with my grandmother. And she said something that I’m going to carry with me today: “God doesn’t care about how much people talk about you, but He does care about how often you talk for people who can’t.”

3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

This is such a familiar right-wing move: you use your propaganda apparatus to raise "concerns" among your slop-eating dittoheads, and then you use the existence of the concerns as a pretext to act.
Rep. Carlos Gimenez on Trump's lies about the 2020 election: "You may say 100 times that it's 'false claims,' but there are a number of people in this country that don't believe that, okay? They believe that something happened."

Three rules in FBI firearm training:

1. Always point your weapon downrange
2. Do not point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot
3. Don’t put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot

Guns are not for threatening compliance for unarmed people doing things you don’t like
happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

I would bet my *life* that this is dissembling, misleading, face saving PR work. There is 0% chance that Trump's DOJ-CR division is gonna meaningfully investigate or charge Trump's DHS officers.
JUST IN: DAG Todd Blanche suggested Alex Pretti shooting is under investigation by DOJ's Civil Rights Division, which indicates it is not being treated as an assault on federal officer but as a potential civil rights violation by the officers who shot Pretti.
