Action you can do today: call members of US house leadership and insist that they seat our elected, certified Tucson House rep Adelita Grijalva. Say you are calling for your friends in Tucson who do not currently have representation (me). Steve Scalise (house maj leader) Tom Emmer (house whip).

I agree.
A university that signs the “compact” is one that acknowledges its own inability to compete and succeed based talent and merit. It would signal insecurity and mediocrity to current and future students and faculty. Say no. Recruit the best people, protect their freedom and support their hard work.

This is my district. We elected Adelita by a huge margin. We want representation NOW.
Speaker Johnson, you ready to swear me in?

This is a VERY well crafted lawsuit.
1) Plaintiff is natural born.
2) He was detained 2X in a fast-growing part of Alabama, not in a city that Brett Kavanaugh could be easily duped into believing was all migrants.
3) Unwarranted detentions were on private property.
4) He showed Real ID both times.

🪰🧪 Model organism databases provide the raw materials for our understanding of evolution. Sequences on these databases help human databases predict how bad a mutation might be, based on its conservation. This is how platforms like FlyBase contribute to modern medicine. Terrible news.
I just got the notice that all the FlyBase people at Harvard, including me, will be laid off on October 12. I'm devastated.
