I have employer-subsidized insurance and it’s STILL more than 12% of my take-home. It’s closer to 20%.

You’re literally telling me my costs would go DOWN. How do you get your information?
R U ok with paying 8 to 12 pct more in taxes and possibly losing your standard deduction ?

R U ok with losing access to different curative medications and care because the government can't afford to pay for them, even after taxing all the billionaires 90 pct?

Let’s extrapolate.

This was the end result of hours and hours of grinding, unending busywork EVEN THOUGH IT’S AI GENERATED. And this was the ABSOLUTE BEST they could come up with.

Jinkies, Scoob.
McDonald's has released an AI-generated Christmas ad

The studio behind it says they 'hardly slept' for several weeks while writing AI prompts and refining the shots — 'AI didn't make this film. We did'

Aside from the fact that this is a meaningless phrase for the millions upon millions of bottle-fed, perfectly healthy infants across the planet, this shows his brain was fully cooked and mangled by the mid-90’s when woo culture hit apogee. And just atrophied following.
RFK Jr: "All of the ingenuity of corporate America has not produced an infant formula that is superior in nutrition and all the qualities that we want to the infant formula that God made, which is the infant formula in a mother's breast."

If only there was an example of this from history that might provide SOME
kind of perspective. If only there were some sort of comically obvious correlation from a past experience where people said the exact same thing. If only.

Scouting has, historically, NOT found itself populated with football heroes and weightlifters. It’s a bastion for kids that don’t fit in anywhere else. What Hegseth dreams of is Trump Youth. Brownshirts. I’m not the biggest fan of Scouting, but it’s CERTAINLY not the thing he’s trying to make.

I… actually kind of agree with this. It felt like they tried to make a WWII movie set in the Star Wars universe and parts just felt like PlayStation cut scenes.
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

while I’m being cranky, access journalism needs to go. When the president does his “I’m alpha because I insulted you” thing somebody needs to fall on his sword and say “what the fuck is wrong with you, old man?” on a hot mic. the hero of the wizard of Oz is Toto.

Swastikas are divisive in the sense that it divides Nazis from the people who are NOT Nazis.
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

Good bill or bad bill it loses. Because they only care about notching wins. If it comes from your side they vote against it. They’re TELLING YOU THIS RIGHT NOW.

Grow a goddamn spine, wouldja?
That December vote is a huge moment we can turn into a victory. People are watching. Good bill, we win; they cheat, they will lose. If we fight united.

Please show me some democratic candidates with a spine. I will vote for them.

Not this clown show. I’ve had enough of them. You’ve lost a consistent dem voter. Fetterman was the last straw.

Aside from the “we’re just going to try and devalue what you’re calling US” obviousness of this, are they saying Biden was both a doddering elderly ineffectual leader who couldn’t remember his own name AND a ruthless authoritarian?
