The daft thing is that with Proportional Representation there'd be no need for this self-destructive war within Labour. It could split into its component parts - left and right - and people could vote for what they wanted. It's only First-Past-the-Post that forces these irreconcilables together.

Good - the BBC coverage is disproportionate and makes insufficient effort to hold them to account!

Big polluters, climate deniers, and oil and gas interests have donated millions to Reform.

Why? Because they trust them.

But we don't. The Green Party is taking on Reform and their corporate backers - because we know whose interests they serve.

Are you with us?

The good we could do in government
#GreenParty has a chance to make a big breakthrough in #GortonAndDenton: door knocking data is very promising. We have a brilliant local candidate, Hannah Spencer.
We are being outspent massively by #Reform and #Labour. Donations can help deliver Hope not Hate.

Gorton and Denton by-election fighting fund - Green Party
We need to be ready if a by-election is called in an area the Green Party can win. Will you help us make another historic breakthrough?

To paraphrase George Monbiot @greenpartyhan.bsky.social will win the Gorton & Denton by-election for @greenparty.org.uk because they offer Hope & Inspiration.
This is in stark contrast to Labour's offer of disappointment & frustration or, even worse, Reform's offer of hatred & division.

The Labour membership want PR,
The unions are in favour of PR,
@greenparty.org.uk want PR.
The Lab leadership ignore the calls for PR because they like the cosy 2 party status quo & using it to bribe people to vote for them.
Labour's lack of support for PR will cost them votes.
They have lost mine.
In this week's column I seek to explain Keir Starmer's flat refusal to change our electoral system, even though its gross unfairness could put Reform UK in power on <30% of the vote. The reasons, I believe, are deeply cynical and disturbing. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

"Every leaflet I drop through a door, I think that's one less vote for Reform"

Here's @zackpolanski.bsky.social explaining why delivering leaflets is so important.

Want to turn #Bradford Green and stop Reform?

Now is the time to get involved and come and deliver some leaflets with us! 💚

Everybody needs housing, it is a basic human necessity.
Housing should NOT be viewed as an investment or business opportunity.
this guy is getting appropriately ratioed but I want to summarise the issue very succinctly, as somebody who owns a house and *has been a landlord*: everybody needs shelter. Housing is an essential service.
Like water, like electricity, like the roads. Therefore, it should not be an investment.
You might want to know that many landlords are like myself: work full-time, and rent out house bought as investment for income. Bank loan gotta get paid along with the rest of expenses. Corporations, sure, I agree. But COVID moratorium screwed me very badly, more debt. So might want to keep in mind.

Zia Yusuf from Reform has challenged you to a debate via an open letter. Seems like too good an opportunity to miss, I hope you can accept his challenge!

One of the things I love about Zack Polanski is his absolute confidence in choosing a nuanced answer. He won't fly for ego, he will fly for necessity. Both nuanced answers to the same question that provide total clarity. Kunnesburg can't cope. It's the future folks.

Vote for Hannah @greenpartyhan.bsky.social in the upcoming by-election 💚
I'm not on here too much these days, things have been a little busy 👀🤭

But the love and support I'm feeling on here is incredible. Being a woman, in politics, online is often utterly grim.

So thank you to everyone who has my back. It means the world 💚

Thanks to amazing team who came canvassing in Denton with me today - we had a lot of fun & fab reception on the doorsteps 🙂. And if anyone is still (weirdly) thinking of voting Labour - one more Labour backbencher will make no difference - the first Green MP from Manchester would be transformative 💪

Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

The Green Party are indeed on the move - Upward.
They are;
Inspiring people & showing that a better life is possible,
Taking the fight to Farage & the divisiveness of Reform UK,
Calling for closer ties with the EU,
And calling out the billionaires who take but never give.
