Everyone here has had to decide what they will and won’t do. Will you take someone in your house? Will you bring them groceries? Will you patrol streets with a whistle? Will you do some other kind of work, of which there are many. And how many of these types.

1. End roving patrols, tighten rules on warrants
2. Enforce accountability & unified code of conduct for agents

There are *already* standards on much of this.

Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

But more broadly, this highlights a fundamental weakness of Microsoft’s design. If MS can easily produce this to law enforcement, then anyone who compromises their cloud infrastructure (and customer service infrastructure, or can forge a plausible LE request) can potentially access that data.

Yes, this is my overwhelming impression listening to it. He repeatedly demanded full ownership of Greenland, and made an explicit threat to punish the Europeans if they don't give in. He then threatened to punish Canada over its prime minister's speech!
If you're only reading headlines and see "Trump Says He Won't Use Force" it will give you a misimpression of both how bellicose this speech is and how dug in he is on Greenland.
