Yeah the takeaway from Watergate wasn’t “burglars shouldn’t be so sloppy and careless and let’s make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Dems need to be clear (for once!):

- This is a culture of impunity and deceit
- It infects the entire Executive, top-down
- it’s relevant to EVERYTHING they do
I am BEGGING people to frame this properly. The issue here is not one colossal blunder where a reporter got info. The issue is it’s clear these people are all routinely ignoring the most absolutely basic security protocols, and WE HAVE NO IDEA what breaches this has already enabled.
I am glad that Senators are grilling DNI Gabbard and CIA Director Ratcliffe today.

Today should be the start of a 4-year drum beat on Trump's team putting US troops in jeopardy by sharing operational war plans with a reporter before undertaking the operation.

Too much is not enough.
Wow. My first block ever (incl. the other place.) Dude wants to do community outreach and defaults to “fuck off.” Clearly I was wrong to doubt the project, we’re in good hands here.

Yes, the issue with the American workforce is that it’s… unbuilt?
MacCALLUM: Will American workers make shirts and garments for the same--? Obviously the labor costs are so much cheaper overseas in those places

CHAVEZ-DeREMER: We're gonna onshore, repatriate some of these companies to invest in America directly so that we can build that workforce

Lotta people who have spent their comfortable, unbothered lives smugly insisting they "Don't do politics" are about to find out politics have no issue doin' them.

It's been noted that the last time stocks fell this sharply, we were in the midst of a global health pandemic. To which I say, please be patient.

I think we often forget how much MAGA support is simply “he pisses off people I don’t like” but to be honest it might have applied to Clinton as much or more.
I have a hard time with the way we let Bill Clinton still be a thing.

Except in the dumbest possible way bc each one is from an American horse
These aren't tariffs. They are a horse's head in the bed of (almost) every world government and business leader.

Ok, so here’s what you need to know:

It’s trade deficit divided by imports…

Times Pete Hegseth’s BAC (0.12 is default)

Plus the first two numbers of the street address where you grew up

Minus the number of concerts you’ve seen in the last 12 months

and is THIS your card??

Re: tan suit, can we just take a second to reflect on what a bullet we dodged in 2012?
If Romney had won, and we’d had to endure four to eight years of magic underwear jokes??
Whether it's Donald Trump punishing law firms for representing clients he dislikes or Barack Obama wearing a tan suit, Presidents of both parties have challenged important norms.

“Abandoning efforts” is me breaking down and eating all the ice cream.

They’re doing exactly what they want.
The Trump administration dismantled key efforts to combat white supremacist and far-right terrorism, stripping away protections as extremist violence surged. This rollback didn’t just weaken defenses—it gave dangerous ideologies room to grow.

Is it performative? Of course.

But there’s a difference between theatrics meant to inspire, and theatrics meant to patronize.

What happens next will tell.
This pointless stunt by Cory Booker is accomplishing nothing but drawing attention to the Trump administration’s wrongdoing and delaying the work of the Senate and energizing the Democratic base and, wait, hang on, let me come in again

I think what’s so exasperating about her is not that she lies, but she does it in a way that says “I don’t respect you and shouldn’t have to explain myself to you.” Just dripping with contempt.
REPORTER: The vice president said he was a convicted member of MS-13. What evidence is there to back that up?

LEAVITT: There's a lot of evidence. DHS and ICE have that evidence and I saw it this morning."

I am Jewish.

I have spent literally my entire life on university campuses.

I was the child of two Jewish professors.

Since kindergarten I have spent exactly one year as neither a student nor a professor.

I have, on occasion, experienced antisemitism. But never on a university campus.

The pro-democracy popular front extends from various socialists to Mitt Romney. We’re all going to need a place to communicate with each other that isn’t controlled by fascists.

This is it. Welcome everyone who isn’t a fascist (and dunk on them as needed).

Yea, time and inclination have been the twin barriers to my creation of art.

Definitely not my complete lack of talent.
I don't think these people understand just how transparently they're telegraphing their grievances and insecurities upon us, making it our problem. To these people, practicing a craft for the sake of enjoyment and betterment is just another form of "friction" that needs to be optimized and flattened
