He's making a list. He's checking it twice. He's throwing it away because he's sure he's retained it all this time. Wait, Now he's rifling through the trash because he just needs to double check real quick. Deep breath. Okay he’s fine now. He’s got it. Wait, now he's back at the trash can again and…

This is true but one of the things I’ve missed this year, in writing short stories while being utterly overwhelmed by the enormity of clearing up the mess my ex-publishers made, is occupying the state described below. Which is why I am so ridiculously excited about being able to write another novel.
Someone read one of my books and said to me, "Fucking hell, how did you manage to keep ALL THAT in your head?" I told them it's actually extremely simple and anyone can do it. You just need to forget everything else important in your life and totally stop functioning as a human for a year or so.

I’ll be honest, the thought of entering this epic multidimensional maze was very daunting.

I Just listened to @robertshearman.bsky.social’s excellent interview with @docoho44.bsky.social & James I’m finally about to dive into Rob’s magnum opus.

This is unmitigated bullshit. I’ve been taking SSRI’s for years.
First they came for reproductive rights.
Then they came for vaccines.
Now they’re coming for mental health.

There is zero evidence SSRIs cause mass violence.

You know what does? Guns — and the fact that anyone can access weapons that kill hundreds in seconds.

And fear not, @jeffgoddard.bsky.social and I have some exciting plans for when this era is over…

Incredibly proud of my insanely clever and talented wife, who is now a published author.

She writes academic articles for books like this whilst I play make believe on the internet.

We really are a power couple you’re right to think it.

A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.
